Differentiation of a parathyroid lesion from a thyroid nodule

Parathyroid lesions - Case 6

Benign hyperpalstic nodules - Case 57

The ultrasound differentiation of a parathyroid lesion located in the surface of the thyroid from a thyroid nodule is generally not possible. The location of the masses presented here are similar. The only important difference is that the thyroid contains another nodule with identical echogenicity in the event of hyperplastic nodule case.
