Chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis - Case 37. (ultrasonographic picture 1)

Medial part of the left lobe, horizontal scan. A hypoechogenic lesion is demonstrated in this view. Considering only this view, we cannot decide whether the lesion is a nodule or not. Nevertheless, the moderately hypoechogenic structure of the dorsal and lateral part of the lobe with fibrotic changes favours thyroiditis.
