Chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis - Case 48. (ultrasonographic picture 3)

Left lobe, horizontal view. There is a hypoechogenic area resembling a nodule in the ventral part of the lobe. Note the puzzle-like borders of the lesion which is in contrast with the round or oval border of a nodule. Nevertheless, viewing this image we cannot decide whether this lesion is a nodule or not.
