Clinical presentation: A 22-year-old woman was referred for evaluation of a nodule discovered on screening.

Palpation: the right thyroid was nodular on palpation.

Hormonal evaluation indicated euthyroidism with TSH 1.08 mIU/L.

Ultrasonography: the thyroids were echonormal and there was no discrete lesion in the lobes. There was an impression in the ventral surface of the right thyroid which made the thyroid nodular on palpation.
