Left lobe, longitudinal scan. A hypoechogenic inhomogeneous nodule. There is an acoustic shadow crossing the middle of the nodule. This is the consequence of calcification ventral and outside the nodule. Note patchy hyperechogenic areas within the nodule. These correspond to amyloid deposits.
