Clinical data: a 39-year-old woman came to routine follow-up examination. For details of previous findings visit case 23 of nodular goiter: she was first investigated 5 years ago when an autonomously functioning nodule was diagnosed in the upper pole of the right lobe. She was euthyroid and did not get any thyroid medications. She gave birth 18 months ago and except for moderate fatigue she had no complaints.
Palpation: a not firm nodule in the left lobe.
Functional state: euthyroidism with TSH-level 1.07 mIU/L.
The hypoechogenic lesion in the upper dorsal part of the right thyroid is in question.
