Different types of cystic nodules are presented in this table.
There are two seemingly pure cysts in the left upper image. However, longitudinal scan (left lower image) discloses that the dorsal lesion is in fact an eccentric type mixed nodule with almost 50 percent of solid part. There is another seemingly pure cyst in the ventral part of the lobe. We only mention here that without aspiration we cannot define pure cysts. In many cases solid part will appear only after aspiration of cystic fluid.
The largest nodule presented in the right column is best to held as a solid nodule because the proportion of cystic fluid is less than 10 percent.
