Benign hyperplastic nodule
Papillary carcinoma

The two cases have a similar ultrasonographic presentation: both are hypoechogenic and display irregular borders. The bright hyperechogenic granules within the benign lesion may be either comet-tail artifacts or microcalcifications while the papillary carcinoma contains non-specific granules.
