Clinical data
Clinical presentation: A 45-yr-old woman came to a follow-up. I met her 13 years ago when beside subcentimeter lesions, a hypoechoic nodule was found in the lower third of the left lobe. The dimensions of the lesion were 16x13x20 mm, width, depth, length, respectively. FNA was benign. The present visit was initiated because of palpitation, a few kg weight loss, and neck discomfort.
Palpation: There was a firm nodule in the right while a non-firm one in the left lobe.
Laboratory tests: TSH 0.01 mIU/L, FT4 32.7 pM/l, FT3 10.8 pM/L.
The dimensions of the nodule in the right lobe were 18x13x21 mm, those of the smaller one in the left lobe were 13x9x16 mm while those of the larger left one were 19x16x25 mm, width, depth, length, respectively.
