This is the classical micronodular form of Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Secondary and/or tertiary pseudolobules of the lobe are divorced with fibrous connective tissue, which is rarely seen in healthy thyroids. Generally, the size of this pseuodlobules are in the range of 3-15 mm. The extralesional part of the thyroid is hypoechogenic which is the proof of the underlying thyroiditis (green arrow). |
