Near total lobectomy. The operated thyroid - Case 2

A subtotally resected thyroid lobe. The operated thyroid - Case 6

The remnant of the thyroid parenchyma is hypoechogenic and is surrounded with an echonormal rim. The latter is very thin in the ventral while relatively thick in the dorsal part of the lobe. This echonormal area is connective tissue.
