Clinical presentation: a 39-year-old woman was referred for an evaluation of weight loss.
Palpation: a nodule in the lower part of the left lobe.
Functional state: euthyroidism with TSH-level 1.17 mIU/L, FT4 19.0 pM/L.
Ultrasonography: there was a small hypoechogenic lesion in the right and a moderately hypoechogenic nodule with microcalcifications in the left lobe. The vascularization was not specific.
Cytological diagnosis: benign, colloid goiter.
