PAPILLON COURSE on THYROID ULTRASOUND

Syllabus

Here we present our proposal for Group A participants, i.e. for those who has minimal if any practice with performing thyroid ultrasound but want to make the examination.

September 27 to October 6 - individual learning

Topics and related learning material

L1 Course arrangement and teaching goals (1 hr)

prerecorded presentation

L2 The normal thyroid - how to find the thyroid gland and how it looks like in a healthy individual (3 hs)

prerecorded presentation, 6 voice over video case studies

The goal is to be able to orient yourself in ultrasound voice over video case studies, to find the carotid artery, the trachea, the strap muscle and the thyroid gland.

To realize the echogenicity of a vessel (anechoic), the strap muscle (deeply hypoechoic) and the normal thyroid (echonormal). For a novice colleague, this is a prerequisite for being able to master the course material.
