Clinical data: a 47-year-old woman with a nodule discovered on screening.

Palpation: a hard nodule in the left lobe.

Functional state: euthyroidism with TSH-level 2.14 mIU/L, FT4 14.6 pM/L.

Ultrasonography: a hypoechogenic nodule in the right lobe with irregular borders and microcalcifications.

Cytological report: papillary cancer.
