Clinical data

Clinical presentation: A 66-year-old woman was referred for evaluation of a suspicious nodules which was found on carotid Doppler examination. The patient has been treated for hypothyroidism for more than 10 years.

Palpation: no abnormality.

Laboratory tests: TSH 6.02 mIU/L on daily 50 microgram levothyroxine.
