Clinical data

Clinical presentation: A 31-yr old woman came to a routine follow-up. She has been treated for hypothyroidism for more than a decade. We met her 6 years ago when we saw a diffusely, minimally hypoechoic thyroid without any discrete lesions. The TSH was regularly checked and remained within the normal range in the past 6 years on daily 50 microgram levothyroxine. Ultrasound was performed in every two years and the pattern was the same as at the first examination so far.

Palpation: no abnormality.

Laboratory tests: TSH 2.38 mIU/L on daily 50 microgram levothyroxine.

Topics
